Violence Unlimited Wrecked West Coast Style on STRONG 【NJoA】

Isaacs and Nelson pick up impressive main event win

Summer Struggle continues this week on NJPW STRONG, with matches arising from Resurgence, and plenty of bad blood still remaining.

In the main event spot, that meant Violence Unlimited’s ongoing wars with Team Filthy, and after an absence at the Torch Saturday night, Brody King rejoined Chris Dickinson to take on the West Coast Wrecking Crew.

Chris Dickinson started the bout with Royce Isaacs, and instantly went for the arm of his opponent, before a knockdown put Violence Unlimited in control. Yet the WCWC’s non verbal communication was top notch, and without benefit of a tag, Jorel Nelson made an effective cut to shift momentum their way, and the Dirty Daddy into the wrong corner.

Isolated, Dickinson had his knee worked over as he struggled to get to King, finally doing so after forearms, an enzuigiri and a German Suplex. Big Bad Brody was easily able to get two for one on Team Filthy opposition, before a Dickinson assist on a Boston Crab; moments later Dickinson scored a very near fall with a brainbuster on Nelson but Isaacs made the save. In response, King dropped both opponents to the floor with lariats, but JR Kratos made his presence felt outside with a lariat to Brody, and Nelson connected with the Movie on the Roof for the victory.

Also on STRONG this week, the LA Dojo generations trio of Ren Narita, Clark Connors and TJP kept their hot hand going when they defeated Fred Rosser, Fred yehi and the debuting Daniel Garcia. Rosser’s ongoing heated issues with Narita was a major theme in a bout that ended with a Narita Special #4 pinfall win over Garcia, but there is much more to come from the incredible freelance hot prospect.

Meanwhile, after being impressed by the LA Dojo member while on commentary at Resurgence, Matt Morris made his in ring debut against Alex Coughlin. Coughlin left his mark on his well travelled opponent with massive suplexes and stinging strikes, but the Director’s Cut DDT sealed the deal for Morris.
