Finlay Finesses Bey Before Hikuleo Causes Havoc on IMPACT 【NJoA】

Finlay scores rematch win thanks to Juice, but Hikuleo crashes the party

After a controversial win with feet on the ropes for BULLET CLUB’s new recruit Chris Bey over David Finlay two weeks ago on IMPACT, this Thursday saw a rematch scheduled between the two combatants.

Bey was reluctant to engage with Finlay at the bell, eventually drawing Finlay outside to attack with punishing strikes on the floor. The flustered Bey did all he could to escape Finlay’s clutches, but a senton scored for Finlay to gain two from the referee before a plancha threatened Bey on the floor.

The Ultimate Finesser evaded contact however, and went up top for an elbow over the second rope. A thumb to the eye of Finlay, and Bey followed up with a basement dropkick for two, a corner splash and diving lariat getting another nearfall. Bey looked for the Art of the Finesse too early though, and Finlay caught his foe with a side suplex to gain some much needed space.

Bey was left reeling from Finlay’s charging strikes, and though he tried desperately to resist, the Irish Curse backbreaker connected before Finlay transitioned into an STF and then a crossface before Nagata Lock III. When Bey made the ropes, Finlay looked for Trash Panda to end the match, but Bey escaped to connect with a spinebuster.

Still Bey couldn’t get the win, and frustrated, went for the same rollup and feet on the ropes that had gotten him victory 14 days prior. This time though, Juice Robinson was present to get Bey’s feet off the ropes. As Bey protested Juice’s presence, a roll-up saw Finlay scoop victory.

Before FinJuice could celebrate however, Hikuleo made his presence decidedly felt. A lariat to Finlay and Hikuleo continued his bitter grudge with Juice, delivering a thunderous chokeslam. Bey wrapped Juice’s leg in a chair, and Hikuleo assisted the Finesser with a flying stomp across the ankle.

Juice is currently scheduled to meet Bey and Hikuleo in eight man tag team action in Texas on September 26.
