Eddie Kingston, Gabriel Kidd go to War on STRONG 【NJoA】

An incredible main event kicks off STRONG in 2022

Stealing NJPW STRONG’s first show of 2022, Gabriel Kidd and Eddie Kingston met in a first time ever singles encounter this Sqaturday night that blew the roof off the Vermont Hollywood.

Exploding out of the gates both men dealt heavy blows that only continued to escalate in intensity as the match wore on. Kingston would slow Kidd’s momentum with a thumb to the eye, before delivering a hard hitting sit out powerbomb, but Kidd would refuse to be beaten, firing back with suplexes and a crushing brainbuster.

The Mad King would respond with a devastating Saito Suplex, and an Uraken backfist, but Kidd stayed on his feet, bravely battling on until a half and half suplex was followed with another Uraken for the Kingston victory.

Keita Murray made an impressive showing alongside Jordan Clearwater on his debut as they took on Hikuleo and Chris Bey on the night. While Clearwater was controlled by the BULLET CLUB duo, Murray would get a hot tag and brought slick offense to both men, but Bey and Hikuleo’s experience as a team paid off, Keita too busy with Hikuleo to see Bey’s CB Knee coming for the win.

The night kicked off with the war between United Empire and the LA Dojo continuing, The DKC facing TJP. DKC had signature fire with a dropkick out of the blocks, and his frantic overhand chops, but the veteran TJP was too much for the Young Lion, and impressive shoulder work and suplexes would lead to a Mamba Splash and a convincing win to kick off proceedings.
