Owens, Fale bring tag gold to BULLET CLUB

Chase Owens & Bad Luck Fale emerge from chaotic three way with the titles

Watch the Wrestling Dontaku replay now!

Wrestling Dontaku would see new IWGP Tag Team Champions crowned on may 1, as Chase Owens and Bad Luck Fale emerged from a wild three way with the titles.

The three way bout would be contested under ‘Tongan Tornado’ rules, with no tags involved, and the match was as chaotic as expected. Fale and Owens would quickly try and put Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb out of contention to turn their focus to former champions Bihsamon, but the United Empire champions were quick to get in the ring, dropping YOSHI-HASHI as Cobb landed a standing moonsault.

As the match swung wildly from one team to the next, Owens and Fale would continue the work that the United Empire started, Owens landing a C-Trigger but his attempt at a Package Piledriver stopped by Goto. Bishamon would be dropped by Cobb, and the Imperial Unit kept up control of the match, slamming Fale with impressive ease. Yet the next moment, it was the CHAOS side of Goto and YOSHI-HASHI back inside, hitting O-Khan with Shoto, only for Owens to break up the ensuing pin with a C-Trigger.

Owens went for broke with a tope con giro to the floor, but Cobb would hit the ring in his stead, only to be hit with Ushigoroshi. Cobb responded with an emphatic Tour of the Islands, but a pinfall was broken up by Fale; the Rogue General and Owens would dump Cobb to the floor, and then turned their attention to the prone Goto; a Fale Grenade was followed by the Rocket launcher Elbow Drop and new champions were crowned.
