Main event: KUSHIDA & Ren Narita vs The Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake)

KUSHIDA continues to make waves on both sides of the Pacific. In Japan, the Nippon Budokan saw the Timesplitter make big strides in his ‘assessment’ at the hands of Taiji Ishimori, pinning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion during the G1 final and continuing to assert his claim for a title match. Meanwhile the US has already seen him battle Alex Shelley in a 20 minute clinic at Music City Mayhem, and now sees his first STRONG main event.

His partner is a man who was still a Young Lion barely out of his teens when KUSHIDA last saw him in 2019; Ren narita has been making huge strides ever since, and will look to make a mark in this tag team battle. In the opposite corner are an established independent team in JD Drake and Anthony Henry; can the Workhorsemen pick up a huge victory this weekend?

2nd Match: Mascara Dorada vs TJP

Singles record: 4-1 Dorada

Mascara Dorada and TJP continue a heated feud on STRONG this week. After their first meeting in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, TJP hasn’t been able to pick up a win against CMLL’s masked superstar. That fact continued on STRONG in Florida earlier this year, when Dorada’s win saw a frustrated TJP unmask his opponent after the match; in subsequent tag meetings, the Public Enemy again took Dorada’s mask, before, in the luchador’s mind ‘escaping’ to join best of the Super Jr. Now Dorada and TJP have to share a ring once more, and Dorada will be hungry for revenge, and to show that he’s the better man once more.

1st Match: LA Dojo (The DKC & Kevin Knight) vs The Heatseekers (Matt Sigmon & Elliot Russell)

Tag team action will kick us off as The DKC and Kevin Knight will take on The Heatseekers. An established tag team in the NWA and elsewhere, Matt Sigmon and Elliot Russel make their STRONG debuts, but cannot expect a walk in the park against a pair of Young Lions. DKC and Knight have polished off established tag teams in the past; can they do it again to kick off STRONG this week?
