Phantasmo, Takagi’s feud grows violent as hardcore demands made

New York Streetfight vs Last Daddy Standing in NYC?

El Phantasmo and Shingo Takagi’s feud continued to escalate in Korakuen Hall on October 15, as the second consecutive disqualification finish in tag action led to hardcore stipulations proposed ahead of Rumble on 44th Street.

In a tag team preview of Shingo and Phantasmo’s KOPW2022 clash on October 28, Takagi headed to the ring along with Hiromu Takahashi having mended the trophy after Phantasmo’s destruction of the prize in Ryogoku. ELP, who teamed with Taiji Ishimori on the night was incensed at his ‘daddy’ duct tape fix job, and only further angered by the Dragon’s offence in ring.

As the match began to break down, Phantasmo brought a trash can fill of weapons into the ring. The official quickly moved to prevent the weaponry being used, but was met with a cooking sheet to the head from ELP, drawing the DQ. Not done, Phantasmo hit his NYC opponent with a CRIII on a trash can lid before putting Takagi into the can itself; Shingo luckily dragged to safety before ELP hit Thunder Kiss ‘86.

Phantasmo left the ring demanding a New York Streetfight, where it would be anything goes on October 28. Backstage, Shingo Takagi upped the stakes further by suggesting a ‘Last Daddy Standing’ bout- how will the people choose?
