The main event of NJPW STRONG this week saw the STRONG Openweight Championship defended as Fred Rosser faced the challenge of Chris Dickinson. Rosser was furious after Dickinson laid a cowardly attack on the champion weeks ago in Hollywood, and was hungry for revenge, creating a fast start to the match. After Dickinson had an early period of control, Rosser would connect with an apron suplex, before a wild brawl broke out at ringside. As the twenty count elapsed, the brawl continued, and as the two were separated, a disgraced Dickinson was led from Las Vegas with the champion holding his ground in ring.

More eyes and action was in the ring when the STRONG Openweight Tag team Championships were on the line, Aussie Open looking to make V3 against JR Kratos and Danny Limelight. Limelight was outpowered early, but Kratos met Mark Davis blow for blow, before a rising knee and a massive lariat put the God of War in charge.

The Team Filthy challengers controlled Davis, and though a massive backdrop to Limelight made for a tag to Kyle Fletcher, Kratos continued to dictate the pace while elevating Limelight for some big double team offence. With an overhead kick from Kratos setting up an unbelievable springboard Destroyer from Limelight, Team Filthy got a near two on Fletcher, but it would be the Dental Plan that scored on Kratos before Corealis on Limelight for a hard fought Aussie Open defence.

The night kicked off with Che Cabrera facing Doc Gallows. Gallows smothered ‘Latino Meat’ before Cabrera stunned the big man with a shot over the top rope. Che kept pursuing Gallows, who rallied off a series of lariats and a flying shoulder tackle. While Cabrera was able to hit a Death Valley Driver to gain some space, but it was the Anarchy Suplex from Gallows that ended the match.
