Motor City Machine Guns Seize STRONG Tag Titles in NYC 【NJoA】

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin come away with the gold in three way shootout

Watch the Rumble on 44th Street Replay!

A three way match at Rumble on 44th Street would see the STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships on the line, The LA Dojo side of The DKC and Kevin Knight and Motor City Machineguns’ Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin both challenging champions Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis, Aussie Open.

The champions would start by trying to isolate  the LA Dojo team, but the teamwork of Knight and DKC would create distance, before the Guns brought themselves in. A pair of thrust kicks rang off the jaw of Fletcher, but the power of the champions saw their challengers sandwiched, and DKC legal as the match went back to square one.

DKC would escape a pair of forearm shots though, and brought Knight in to clear house, rocketing a dropkick to Fletcher. A top rope frankensteiner would send Fletcher into Davis, but Dental Plan would connect for two as Shelley and Sabin remained frustrated and desperate to get inside. That happened with a blind tag from Sabin, and classic teamwork ensued, but ‘Motor City’ chants were replaced with ‘LA Dojo’ after dives from Knight and DKC and a swinging DDT from Knight to Sabin for two.

As Knight was dropkicked out of midair, the match broke down, the Guns mastering the chaos with a sequence of attacks on Knight. To the shock of Aussie Open, the Dirt Bomb struck on DKC to crown new STRONG Tag Team Champions.
