Rogue Army forms as Henare falls in Melbourne

Caveman Ugg joins BULLET CLUB at Thornbury event

The fourth NJPW TAMASHII card saw spectacular action but a controversial finish, and one of the most popular figures in Melbourne area wrestling suddenly joining BULLET CLUB and Bad Luck Fale’s Rogue Army.

A wild main event saw Caveman Ugg and Aaron Henare battling all around the ring and outside. As the end drew nearer however, Bad Luck Fale made his presence felt. Just 24 hours earlier, Fale and Bonza had gotten themselves disqualified in the face of Henare and Kyle Fletcher; this time it was the Rogue General leading Ugg to victory with an Ugg Driver.

Post match, the ‘Too Sweet’ invitation was made, and accepted, Ugg joining Bonza, Fale and L+yrebird Luchi in BULLET CLUB’s Rogue Army.

All was not lost for the United Empire however as Kyle Fletcher emerged victorious over Robbie Eagles in a thriller. A 24 minute plus war between Eagles and his one time student in Fletcher, the action was spectacular, but ended ultimately with a Grimstone Piledriver that saw Fletcher victorious.

Also even at 1-1 on the weekend was Aaron Solo. Solo had lost to Eagles in the Coogee main event one night prior, but was successful in a battle with Slex, The Business, with the Pedigree in just over 12 minutes.

It was a big win for Solo over a mainstay of the Melbourne scene with a proven championship track record. Mitch Waterman’s own title holding track record is growing as MCW Champion, and he looked to put away Lyrebird Luchi, but a deliberate disqualification had Luchi celebrating instead despite being on the losing end of the ledger.

Used to success are MCW tag team stalwarts the Natural Classics, and the Fillip brothers were successful once again in Thornbury. An Air Raid Crash saw victory over game NZ Dojo competition in Jordan Allen Wright and Jake Taylor.

Also having a tough time were Michael Richards and Andrew Villalobos from the Dojo, the duo defeated by Bonza and Fale, with questions to be asked after going 0-2 over the weekend.

More successful from the NZ Dojo was the ever popular Richard Mulu. Taking an aggressive fight to last minute addition Jarvis, a Running Powerslam saw his hand raised.

Aggression personified was the combination of Jake Andrewartha and Gore. The two got the night off to a crushing start, a Dominator seeing them pick up the opening match win.
