New NEVER 6 Man Champions as Suzuki forms Strong Style team

Strong Style the new NEVER 6 Man champs

The first of three championship matches at new Beginning in Osaka on February 11, the NEVER Openweight 6 Man tag team titles were at stake in a match where champions HOUSE OF TORTURE had to defend the gold against Ren Narita, Minoru Suzuki and El Desperado or be stripped of the belts.

Watch the replay now!

As the challengers made their entrance the champions made their sneaky attack, isolating Narita, Suzuki and El Desperado before the match could officially begin; SHO taking Narita out of action with a nasty title shot to the face. With the action in the ring the match could officially begin but the numbers were immediately against Suzuki and El Desperado. The villainous HOUSE OF TORTURE methodically began to wear down El Desperado, hurling him into the exposed steel in the corner. El Desperado finally found respite with a huge backdrop and a tag to Suzuki, the veteran single-handedly taking out all three of his opponents to the delight of the Osaka crowd.

Suzuki’s momentum came to a halt when the fourth HOUSE OF TORTURE man Dick Togo dragged Suzuki out of the ring, allowing the champions to implement their devious plan of throwing Suzuki into the barriers and choking him with a wire cord. Finally Narita was able to make his way to the ring and even take out Dick Togo, but EVIL was quick to knock him off the apron. However Narita’s distraction allowed Suzuki the opportunity to take out EVIL and at long last the Son of Strong Style could officially enter the match and open fire on HOUSE OF TORTURE; unleashing a series of kicks on EVIL and a half-hatch suplex for a two count.

Yujiro now the legal man found the numbers against him for a welcome change of pace, the challengers putting together a series of offence ending with a suplex and sensational bridge from Narita that had HOUSE OF TORTURE scrambling to break up the pin attempt. Narita locking in the Cobra Twist forced Yujiro to tap, but the referee was distracted by the returning Dick Togo. Things looked bleak for Narita as Yujiro attempted to use his stiff walking stick, but Suzuki and Desperado were able to make the save. All three men locked in submission moves on the champions with the focus on Narita and Yujiro; with nobody to save him this time Yujiro had no choice but to tap out and the unlikely trio of Narita, Suzuki and El Desperado were crowned the new champions.

Post match, Suzuki would take the microphone, and declared the new champion trio represented everything that Ren Narita is the son of- that the team should now be known as Strong Style.
