The Rebel strikes after Jay White’s crushing loss

Battle in the Valley saw Jay White fall in defeat to Eddie Kingston in the loser leaves NJPW bout, but just as the Switchblade got set to give a final address to the NJPW fans, David Finlay blasted the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion from behind with a shillelagh. 

Grabbing the microphone meant for Jay White, Finlay delivered an emphatic message for the Switchblade and NJPW- ‘F*** your era.’ Admitting that for years he had been praying to have the opportunities Jay White had created for himself, Finlay said that he was taking his time now. Saying ‘I’m Irish in America, an American in Ireland, and a gaijin in Japan’, Finlay said that he was ‘out for blood’ in the New Japan Cup, and was making a major statement for wrestlers in the US, Japan and everywhere in between to sit up and take notice of.
