IMPACT World, X Division title matches official
As first revealed on IMPACT Wrestling, stakes have been raised for Multiverse United: Only the STRONG Survive on March 30 in the Globe Theatre in LA. The show is already completely sold out, but two championship matches being made official means that this landmark event is all the more unmissable on FITE!
Already announced for March 30 was KUSHIDA taking on IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander. Now that Alexander has fulfilled all his intervening challenges however, the Walking Weapon has agreed to put his IMPACT World Championship on the line against the Timesplitter. Can KUSHIDA claim IMPACT World Championship gold in his first challenge in LA?
Also newly made official on IMPACT was a six way Scramble match for the IMPACT X Division Championship. On March 24, X Division Champion Trey Miguel will defend his title against a mystery hand picked opponent, and should he clear that hurdle, this six way awaits. The Scramble will see three participants from NJPW and three from IMPACT, whomever the champ may be putting the title up against Rich Swann and Frankie Kazarian representing IMPACT, and Rocky Romero, Clark Connors and Kevin Knight representing NJPW. Knight has impressed IMPACT audiences already with tag matches alongside mentor KUSHIDA, and Rocky Romero had his own pair of challenges for X Division gold in the last year. Could third time in 12 months be lucky for Rocky? Or could it be the explosive power of Clark Connors that seizes gold in his IMPACT debut?
