KENTA regains STRONG gold after terrifying Hikuleo drop 【NJoA】

KENTA regains title, Eddie Kingston awaits

Resurgence saw Walter Pyramid play host to the first defence of the STRONG Openweight Championship for Hikuleo as he faced KENTA in a rematch from Dontaku earlier this May.

Hikuleo started fast, knocking down a charging KENTA with a boot and setting for Godsend, before the challenger bailed to the floor. Desperate, KENTA quickly ensured the referee was downed before trying for a low blow, but as the BULLET CLUB member was denied, he tried to beat a hasty retreat. Luring Hikuleo to the backstage area, KENTA apparently attacked the champion out of camera sight, but couldn’t deny Hikuleo, who dropped KENTA over the guardrails around the arena.

KENTA avoided a Godsend through a table outside, and instead walked KENTA up the bleachers, threatening a terrifying chokeslam, and instead getting hurled off the stands through the table. As the referee applied his count, KENTA headed to the ring and beat the countout, winning the STRONG Openweight title back.

Post match, a video message from Eddie Kingston suggested that KENTA’s fate as a two time champion may already be sealed. KENTA said that he couldn’t understand Eddie’s New Jersey accent, but that he would put the title on the line. When and where might that bout take place?
