On 10/9 get ready for “King of Pro-Wrestling” live from Ryogoku Sumo Hall, Tokyo! Full match lineup revealed!

Pro-wrestling royalty will once again hold court in the storied Ryogoku Sumo Hall on October 9th! King of Pro-Wrestling will be broadcast live with New Japan’s English commentary team calling the action, only on NJPW World!  http://njpwworld.com/

The night’s matches promise to enthrall the pro-wrestling world, as rivalries boil over and threaten to upend the championship title landscape! At the top of the card is the main event: a menacing King of Darkness, EVIL, challenges the IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada for the highest crown in the land! Some have said The Rainmaker has yet to fully recover from his shock loss to EVIL in the G1 Climax tournament this summer, but if anything Okada has proven to be one of New Japan’s greatest champions of all time this year, with each title defense becoming a Match of the Year contender!

And in his first defense of the Wrestle Kingdom suitcase, which earns the right to challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight title at the Tokyo Dome, Tetsuya Naito faces Tomohiro Ishii! These two veterans of the New Japan ring are like oil and water, with the Stone Pitbull snapping multiple times at the LIJ leader during the Destruction tour. Now it’s time for the one-on-one test of skill and strength! The Wrestle Kingdom main event hangs in the balance!

When it comes to the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight title: a new challenger approaches! Roppongi 3K, helmed by Coach Rocky Romero, are gunning to put title-holders Ryusuke Taguchi and Ricochet on the sidelines! While Coach Rocky has yet to disclose the roster for Roppongi 3K, one thing is certain: Taguchi Japan will have to expect the unexpected from formidable new adversaries!

More action from the Jr. Heavyweight division, as the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA is set to face The Aerial Assassin Will Ospreay! KUSHIDA has solidified his place as the worlds pre-eminent junior heavyweight wrestler with multiple title defenses this year. But Will Ospreay is looking to seize his chance to ascend to the top flight and take New Japan’s junior division to the next level!

And rounding out the title matches is another taste of anarchy! The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team title has found new owners in the brutal K.E.S. following their victory at Destruction in Kobe. But the Suzuki-Gun duo will have to defend their new trophies against bitter rivals War Machine and the Bullet Club’s G.O.D. in a Tornado rules, anything goes, no-DQ free for all! This trio of powerhouse tag teams thrive on chaos, so expect Ryogoku to be shook to its core at the sound of the bell!
