Champions will be tested, as the battle for New Japan dominance heats up! Full match card revealed for Power Struggle, 11/5 in Osaka!

The full match schedule for Power Struggle has now been decided, with 3 title matches scheduled for Osaka’s pro-wrestling spectacle on November 5th!

IWGP Intercontinental Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi made the unexpected decision to choose his challenger after his recent title defense against Zack Sabre Jr. on September 16 in Hiroshima. When he called out for Kota Ibushi to meet his request, few could argue with his choice. Ibushi’s shock win over Tanahashi in this year’s G1 proved that while he spent years away traveling the world, his desire to succeed in the New Japan ring has never been stronger. The finishing blow, Ibushi’s newly dubbed “Kamigoye”, was a clear show of respect to his opponent, who he looked up to as a wrestling “god” (“kami”, in Japanese). Now The Ace has chosen to not only settle the score with Ibushi, but prove the fighting spirit of a champion burns within him like never before!

Will Ospreay, the newly crowned IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion has found an old rival resurface to cause a spot of bother once again! His compatriot, Marty Scurll, made his intentions clear to the young champion at Ryogoku following his victory over KUSHIDA, declaring it was high time The Villain made the title his! Now The Aerial Assassin’s first title defense will be against an opponent he has yet to defeat in singles competition in the New Japan ring! Will this be the beginning of Ospreay’s glorious reign, or will The Villain once again overcome his fellow countryman?

And rounding out the night’s title match action, NEVER Openweight Champion Minoru Suzuki and Toru Yano’s rivalry is set to explode in a Bullrope Death Match! The two have faced each other many times over the years, with Yano eliciting the rage of Suzuki with each victory. Now The Boss has decided to put an end to Yano’s antics by demanding a Bullrope Death Match! While Yano knows the sadistic style Suzuki employs, the perennial joker also knows his enraging (and distracting) tactics could be his only chance of survival!
