Kingston bests Kojima, but Kidd gets the jump in Texas 【NJoA】

V7 for Kingston in the Curtis Culwell Center

One of the most hotly anticipated matchups at Lonestar Shootout, Eddie Kingston would put the STRONG Openweight Championship on the line November 10 against Satoshi Kojima.

An early tackle from Kojima would force the champion to take a powder on the floor; inside he would start to mount offence with chops, but a second tackle saw Kingston again clutching at his collar bone. This time, challenger followed champion outside the ring, but was cut off by the Mad King.

As both re-entered the squared circle, Kojima pressured Kingston into the corner and unleashed machine gun chops, before the champion responded with kobashi like chops of his own. With Kojima left reeling, Kingston wanted a suplex on the apron but was met with a DDT instead; a Cozy Cutter follow up though would be denied and Kingston would land a pair of half Nelson suplexes to get two. A Stretch Plum submission attempt would wear down the challenger, but Kojima responded with a lariat and Cozy Cutter got two.

Kojima smelled victory, and went for the Eastern Lariat; Kingston got a barrage of backfists, but a wild lariat was there in response. A brainbuster scored for the challenger but Kingston would make the ropes, and a pair of Northern lights Bombs would see a successful defence.

Post match, Gabe Kidd would hit the ring and levelled Kingston with the STRONG Openweight Championship. Taking the mic, Kidd taunted the champion that ‘the boss dog David Finlay told me to bring gold or bring bodies, how about I bring both?’, dropping him with a vicious piledriver.
