■ Kazuchika Okada and Minoru Suzuki, only one king can reign! The IWGP Heavyweight belt hangs in the balance!

In the main event (9th match), IWGP heavyweight champion Kazuchika Okada will defend his title against Minoru Suzuki for the third time. Suzuki-gun suddenly raided into Korakuen Hall on January 5, and declared to invade New Japan after a two year absence. Suzuki, who took Okada down with a Gotch-style piledriver, violently thrust himself back into the NJPW spotlight.

However, Okada proudly proclaimed that he’s “fit and ready” now. He also said, “I want to show him how far New Japan Pro Wrestling has come during the 2 years without the Suzuki-gun!” After declaring “I’ve come to take EVERYTHING,” Suzuki made it clear he intends to use his brutal fighting experience to get what he wants. Okada must repel this revived threat if he intends to remain the champion of New Japan.

■ Archer & Smith are coming back to terrorize the IWGP Tag scene! A 3-way tag match with Yano & Ishii, Makabe & Honma!

The semifinal (8th match) is a 3-way IWGP Tag Championship match, where the champions Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii will face Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma, as well as K.E.S. (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.).

On January 4 in Tokyo Dome, Yano forced his way into the IWGP Tag Team Championship match accompanied by Ishii. While the match was originally set between champions Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tanga Roa) and GBH (Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma), the CHAOS team became the surprise new champions after knocking out G.O.D. This time, they will clash with the vindictive Makabe/Honma combo, along with former IWGP Tag Team champions K.E.S. Anarchy in the ring is inevitable with these 3 teams squaring off against each other!

■ Newly crowned NEVER Openweight Champion Goto in his first defending match against Juice! TAKA Michinoku & Taichi will challenge the IWGP Junior Tag Champions!

In the seventh match, NEVER Openweight Champion Goto will face Juice Robinson. Goto defeated his rival Katsuyori Shibata after a deadly match on Jan. 4 at the Tokyo Dome and won the NEVER belt for the first time. However, on Jan. 5 in Korakuen Hall during a 5-on-5 tag match, Juice defeated Goto with his Pulp Friction finisher. Afterwards Juice declared war by saying, “I came to Japan in 2015 and learned Japanese pro wrestling from scratch. There’s no one better than Goto when it comes to Japanese style. The one who will challenge Goto and win the NEVER Openweight belt will be me!” How will the “chaotic warrior” fight Juice that burns with the desire to get the first Single crown in New Japan?

In the sixth match, the IWGP Junior Tag Champions, Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero & Beretta) will face Taichi & TAKA Michinoku in their first title match. Roppongi defended their title for third time after defeating The Young Bucks at the Jan. 4 Tokyo Dome match. Rocky struggled last year, much to chagrin of his teammate Beretta, but has managed to bounce back and become a strong force in the Jr. Tag Team division.

No doubt that Taichi & Michinoku are hungry for the title they previously held in November 2013…and foul play is almost guaranteed given their backgrounds. With Roppongi Vice’s speed and power stacked against the Suzuki-gun pair’s technical prowess and cunning, it’ll be all out war in the ring for the IWGP Junior Tag Team title!

■ L.I.J. battles a team of NJPW Allstars (and Taguchi)! YOSHI-HASHI faces off with Iizuka!

The 5th match is a triple-preview of the action to come in Osaka on Feb. 11 when the IWGP Intercontinental, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. Michael Elgin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Manabu Nakanishi, Ryusuke Taguchi & Dragon Lee will collide head-on with the L.I.J (Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, EVIL, BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi). Eyes are on Dragon Lee as he will be competing for the first time in the series.

In the 4th match, OSHI-HASHI and Takashi Iizuka will have a little bit of score settling as both have a shared past as CHAOS members. How will YOSHI-HASHI, who has made the leap as a single player, fight against the frenzied and unpredictable Iizuka?

■For the opening match, KUSHIDA & Kawato will fight Kanemaru & Desperado in a tag team match!

In the first match, KUSHIDA will partner with Hirai Kawato to confront Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desperado. Watch the battle between KUSHIDA and Kanemaru that may resemble the final match of last year’s “SUPER J-CUP”, and Young Lion Kawato’s struggle against the Suzuki-gun.
