The 6th match will be a Special 6-man tag team match as Hirooki Goto, Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi take on an L.I.J  team of SANADA, EVIL and Tetsuya Naito. The Fierce Warrior, Hirooki Goto teams up with the ‘Dream Team’ of Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada for the first time. After witnessing success at Honor Rising, the ‘Dream Team’ face one of their toughest challenges yet as they take on the recently dethroned 82nd IWGP Tag Team Champions, EVIL and SANADA.

LIJ’s leader, the 20th Intercontinental Champion, Tetsuya Naito, will be looking to make his mark in advance of his appearance in the New Japan Cup. With so many powerful and electrifying singles competition wrestlers in the same match, we are sure to see fireworks.

The 7th match will be a special singles match between Will Ospreay and Jay White. In his post match comments after Night 1 of Honor Rising: Japan 2019, Will Ospreay called out the IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Jay White. He commented “Breathe with the Switchblade? I’ll tell you when you can start breathing, when Ospreay finishes the job!” The fact that he ripped apart a Jay White branded T-shirt has also drawn the ire of the IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

In a Champion vs. Champion match, the 23rd NEVER Openweight Champion will take on the IWGP Heavyweight Champion in the main event of the Anniversary Event. Will Ospreay will be competing in the New Japan Cup, a competition usually reserved for Heavyweights, but if he defeats the Switchblade in his first match since becoming champion, he will be marked as a serious contender to win the tournament and face him for the belt at Madison Square Garden.
