Road to Wrestling Dontaku night 4 results

Night four of the Road to Wrestling Dontaku emanated from the beautiful city of Fukui, a night that ended with Los Ingobernables De Japon once again standing tall ahead of some major matches to come.

Full results and match photos here!

7th match: Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, BUSHI, EVIL and SANADA) defeated CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Rocky Romero, SHO, YOH and Tomohiro Ishii) when Naito pinned Romero.

Already dominant thus far on the Dontaku tour, Los Ingobernables De Japon were victorious once again after Naito landed a Destino to Romero. Addressing the crowd post match, Naito remarked that it was his first time to close an event in Fukui, and led the crowd in his usual closing call of ‘de! Ja! Pon!’

6th match: Suzuki Gun (Zack Sabre Junior, El Desperado and TAKA Michinoku) defeated Jyushin Thunder Liger, Kota Ibushi and Tomoaki Honma when Sabre submitted Honma.

After Ibushi scored a win on night three, ZSJ was eager for revenge, something he got when he stretched Honma to breaking point. As an exclamation mark on his victory, the British number one contender to Ibushi’s IWGP Intercontinental Championship landed a Zack Driver on the champion after the match.

5th match: Ryusuke Taguchi, Toru Yano, Togi Makabe and Hirooki Goto defeated Bullet Club (Gedo, Jay White, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa) when Taguchi submitted Gedo.

Days before Taguchi, Yano and Makabe have to defend their NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championships against a Bullet Club combination in Korakuen Hall, the Taguchi Japan trio were particularly effective in this eight man tag, with Taguchi scoring the victory after locking in the Oh My and Garankle on Gedo.

4th match: Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, Hikuleo and Taiji Ishimori) defeated Dragon Lee, Toa Henare, Mikey Nicholls and Juice Robinson when Fale pinned Henare.

Henare continued a rough streak with Fale on the tour, as he was once again laid out with a Grenade at the hands of Fale. The challenger to Juce’s IWGP US Heavyweight Championship looked as strong as ever heading into their title match at Sengoku Lord on Saturday.

3rd match: Suzuki Gun (Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) defeated Shota Umino, Yuji Nagata and Satoshi Kojima when Suzuki pinned Umino.

Umino, celebrating his 22nd birthday, was in high spirits before the match, but these quickly fell when he was victim to a Gotch Style Piledriver by the King.

2nd match: YOSHI-HASHI defeated Ren Narita by submission.

Narita showed heart against YOSHI-HASHI, but the CHAOS member ultimately punished the Young Lion, finishing with a Butterfly Lock from which Narita found no escape.

1st Match: Yuuya Uemura defeated Yota Tsuji by submission.

The rivalry between Tsuji and Uemura continued to burn, with both men ending their run of singles matches at two wins apiece. Uemura might have the slightest of upper hands, as he defeated Tsuji in under eight minutes once more with a Boston Crab.
