Osaka saw an amazing night of action on May 30, one that separated a crowded pack of Best of the Super Juniors B Block contenders into just two men eligible for final contendership in Ryogoku Sumo Hall June 5. With the current point totals taken into account, the final lineup for June 3’s final night of block action has been determined.
In the main event, Will Ospreay will be taking on Ryusuke Taguchi. These two men have emerged from a complicated tie to stand together at the top of the B Block table with 12 points each. Unless a no contest would result in no points either side, it’s all but a complete certainty that the winner of this match will be advancing to the finals on Wednesday, June 5.
This is a rematch of the 2016 BOSJ final, a match Ospreay won to claim Best of the Super Junior glory on his first attempt. Will history repeat, or will it be Taguchi that moves a step closer to his second BOSJ trophy?
