Jyushin Thunder Liger’s 2007 saw more international competition for the masked legend, as he competed extensively in Mexico, where he would team up with Hirooki Goto as he underwent excursion, and in Toryumon teaming with Milano Collection AT. On that fateful tour of Canada in May 2007, he would wrestle a teenager by the name of Kazuchika Okada, and impressed with his potential, would suggest he join the NJPW Dojo.

Milano was Liger’s partner away and at home, but friendly competition would surface during Best of the Super Juniors in a memorable bout that saw Milano pin the CTU leader. It was a sign perhaps of times changing, and as Jado and Gedo formed alliances with Tomohiro Ishii, Tomoaki Honma and Togi Makabe that would eventually lead to the formation of Great Bash Heel, Liger would announce CTU’s dissolution. In CTU’s wake, Liger would keep his alliance with Masahiro Chono, and join SHiro Koshinaka and Riki Choshu in the aptly named ‘Legend’ group.
