The cards have been revealed for New Beginning USA, and Nashville is getting a huge event as we return to the War Memorial Auditorium!
The main event sees Rocky Romero, Kota Ibushi, David Finlay and Juice Robinson take on the BULLET CLUB quartet of Jado, Chase Owens, Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga. FinJuice were victorious over GoD in the Tokyo Dome at Wrestle Kingdom 14 to seize the IWGP Tag Team Championships, but the franchise team of NJPW aren’t willing to take things lying down. They’ll be eager to make a mark here as we count down to their championship rematch February 1 in Atlanta.
Before this wild eight man main event, we have a run of three fascinating singles matches. Chief among them: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Yujiro Takahashi. As the Tokyo Pimp has been focused on tag team action for so long, this is Yujiro’s first singles match in an NJPW ring since the fall of 2018. Yet the wily Yujiro is intent on showing he can get things done in the ring one on one. Back at Power Struggle 2012, he took Tanahashi to the very limit over the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, and the former NEVER Openweight Champion will be looking for a huge upset against the Ace.
Yuji Nagata will face Lance Archer. The former IWGP United States Champion will be looking to get back on a violent horse after losing his Texas Deathmatch to Jon Moxley in the Tokyo Dome January 5. Yet with his best friend of nearly 30 years Manabu Nakanishi retiring next month, Yuji Nagata will be looking to show that the Third Generation still belong in the greatest of fights. Can Blue Justice defeat the Murderhawk Monster?
Satoshi Kojima will meet Jeff Cobb in singles action. For the last two World Tag Leagues, a Jeff Cobb combination has defeated the legendary TenKoji tag team. Can the strongest arm in professional wrestling prevail against the athletic powerhouse Cobb one on one?
That’s not all for Nashville, as Clark Connors & TJP will face Colt Cabana & Toru Yano, YOSHI-HASHI meets Karl Fredericks and Alex Coughlin & Ren Narita take on Misterioso & Alex Zayne, all at the War Memorial Auditorium on Sunday January 26!
