Refunds now being issued for cancelled March 16-21 events

The refund issue period has now elapsed. 

Thank you for your support of New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

As announced this week, acting under further recommendation from the Japanese Ministry of Health regarding Coronavirus COVID-19, NJPW has come to the decision to cancel all events for the remainder of the New Japan Cup tour. 

These five cancellations between March 16 and 21 come in addition to cancellations between Sunday March 1 and Sunday March 15 to bring the total number of cancelled events to 16.

All ticket holders will be refunded.

IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED A TICKET FOR EVENTS BETWEEN MARCH 1 & 15

The below procedure applies to tickets purchased for the following events ONLY:

Monday March 16: Takaoka Techno Dome, Toyama

Tuesday March 17: Kumagaya Citizen Gymnasium, Saitama

Wednesday March 18: Twin Messe Shizuoka

Friday March 20, Saturday March 21: Ao-re Nagaoka, Niigata

(Note: NJPW will be closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus situation and will provide updates on events taking place after March 22)

 

The refund procedure depends on point of purchase of the tickets. 

Lawson Ticket (Lawson/Mini Stop convenience stores)

Refund period: Wednesday March 18 10AM – Wednesday April 1 11:59PM

Take your ticket to your nearest Lawson or Mini Stop. Any location will suffice, but if you purchased your ticket at a Lawson, you can only receive refunds at a Lawson, and Mini Stop customers can only receive refunds at Mini Stop.

Use the ‘haraimodoshi’ (refund) function on in store Loppi machines to secure your refund. Check the following Japanese site for details, or show to a store attendant for assistance.

Ticket Pia (including 7-11 convenience stores)

Refund period: Wednesday March 18 10AM – Wednesday April 1 11:59PM

IKG Ticket Online (March 18 Shizuoka)

There is no need to return your tickets. You will be contacted via the email address you regestered to make your purchase with the procedure. Refunds will be issued via registered mail in late April.

Bunshindoshoten book store Niigata (March 20, 21 Niigata)

You can not obtain a refund at opoint of purchase. Please follow one of these two options.

(1) Refunds will be issued from the Ao-re Nagaoka venue on March 20 or 21 (refunds for both dates will be available, regardless of which day you attend). A reception desk will be open between the hours of 3 and 6PM on these dates. Present your ticket for a refund (note: this only applies to tickets purchased from Bunshindoshoten, not from other outlets).

(2) Apply via registered mail. Send your ticket, along with the information outlined below, via special recorded mail. 

(note: this only applies to tickets purchased from Bunshindoshoten, not from other outlets).

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Bank details for receiving your refund via wire transfer (Bank name, Branch name, Account number, Name on account. Japan Post accounts will also require a sort code)

Please retain a record of the seat number displayed on the ticket before sending the above via special registered mail (‘tokutei kiroku’) to:

Refunds will be sent via bank transfer. Please retain proof of purchase until you can confirm that the transfer has been made. 

The refunded amount will be for the face value displayed on the ticket. 

Please send the ticket via special registered mail (‘tokutei kiroku’) only. Sending by other means may result in the ticket being returned to you. 

Other outlets

Refund period: Wednesday March 18- Thursday April 1

Consult point of purchase for refunds. Procedures and operating hours may vary.

 

NOTE

Tickets can not be exchanged for another event.

Tickets will not be refunded at event venues on the day of the scheduled event.

Physical tickets will be required as proof of purchase in most of the above cases. Refund policies will not cover lost tickets, or tickets with torn stubs.

Refunds will only be issued during the listed refund periods.
