NJPW STRONG preview: Huge Elimination main on Road to Detonation

Big ten man tag to highlight Friday night’s action

The Road to Detonation has its second stop this Friday night on NJPW STRONG, highlighted by a big time ten man clash in our main event that could well set the scene for the rest of the year.

Watch NJPW STRONG Fridays at 10e/9c!

Main event: Elimination Tag Match: Brody King, David Finlay, Juice Robinson, ACH & Karl Fredericks vs BULLET CLUB (KENTA, Jay White, Tanga Loa, Tama Tonga & Hikuleo)

A chaotic ten man elimination highlights a big time card this Friday. Back during the NEVER series a couple of months ago, it was during an elimination tag that David Finlay scored a win over KENTA that propelled him to a singles match for the US Right to Challenge briefcase. Having successfully retained his case during Showdown, KENTA will look for elimination revenge in the main event, all the while aware that he has a target on his own back.

As World Tag League hurtles toward its conclusion, two contending teams in G.o.D and FinJuice will also be clashing, and then there’s Hikuleo and Brody King meeting again for the first time since Hikuleo’s singles debut on STRONG back in the summer. With a lot of combustible elements, this is an explosive main event!

2nd Match: Alex Zayne vs Balek Christian

In the second match of the evening, a rivalry that has shot both Alex Zayne and Blake Christian to worldwide notoriety continues on NJPW STRONG. While both men have interacted in tag matches on STRONG, this will be their first singles encounter on NJPW World. With just days to go until his involvement in Super J-Cup 2020, could Christian score a big win over his career nemesis, or will Zayne have the upper hand?

1st Match: The DKC vs Sterling Riegel

Starting off on STRONG, The DKC will take on Sterling Riegel. After DKC and partner Clark Connors went 1-1 with the Reigel twins in recent weeks, the two teams are now trying to one up each other in singles competition instead. Last week on STRONG, Connors submitted Logan Riegel; can twin brother Sterling get the W over The DKC, or will DKC and Connors show a clear upper hand?
