‘Dirty Daddy’ Chris Dickinson Joins forces with Team Filthy 【NJoA】

Team Filthy gets a dirty new member

Team Filthy’s numbers grew on the Road to Lion’s Break Contender this week on NJPW STRONG, as the ‘Dirty Daddy’ Chris Dickinson joined Tom Lawlor’s fight dream.

Lawlor started the week’s proceedings on NJPW STRONG Friday night, declaring that after a lackluster performance at Detonation at the end of the year against Jeff Cobb, he had been ‘future endeavoured’ by the team and would have to find employment elsewhere. That led to Dickinson being introduced as the mystery third member of the Filthy squad in the six man tag main event.

Complementing the heavyweight power of JR Kratos and the spectacular junior heavyweight stylings of Danny Limelight, Dickinson brings extensive independent experience in both America and Japan. Partly trained by former NJPW combatant and MMA veteran Josh Barnett, Dickinson is well versed in everything from strikes to submissions to the hardcore style, and should fit Team Filthy like a glove.

That was evidenced in Friday night’s six man tag main event, a match that saw Dickinson pick up a convincing win. While Brody King and JR Kratos traded bombs, Dickinson showed expert presence and focus, landing a running DVD to Logan Riegel. Who can stop Team Filthy in 2021?
