Road to New Beginning night 3 Preview

Third in Korakuen triple header sees six man main event.

The third straight night in Korakuen Hall will see more previews of action in major events to come on the New Beginning tour, including championship matches in Ota, Nagoya and Hiroshima.

Watch the whole New Beginning tour live and in English on NJPW World!

Main event: Master Wato, SHO & Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Los Ingobernables De Japon (BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi & Shingo Takagi)

The main event sees Master Wato, SHO and Hiroshi Tanahashi continue to gear up for matches against LIJ opposite numbers in Nagoya and Hiroshima. After Wato teamed with both SHO and Tanahashi in straight tag matches the last two nights, now they make a formidable trio.

Opposite worthy champions in Shingo and Hiromu, along with a self assured BUSHI though, how will they fare? Hiroshi Tanahashi sent the crowd home after a High Fly Flow saw him victorious over BUSHI Monday night, but this came in the face of hard shots from Shingo. Will the Ace continue to have the upper hand over Takagi tonight? And will SHO bring the same fire to Hiromu that saw him victorious during Best of the Super Jr.?

4th Match: Tomoaki Honma & Kota Ibushi vs Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito & SANADA)

As Kota Ibushi continues to prepare for his Hiroshima title defence against SANADA, he goes to battle against Cold Skull and the man he won the double IWGP titles from, Tetsuya Naito. Ibushi teamed well with Honma Monday night in Korakuen, with a double Kokeshi scoring to the delight of the live crowd.  Naito took exception however, singling Honma out for his assaults, even with the Kokeshi on the apron. Those issues are sure to continue tonight, and fans can also expect Ibushi and SANADA to lock horns three weeks before their hotly anticipated Hiroshima title bout.

Monday night saw SANADA submit Honma with the Skull End, before locking eyes with Ibushi. How will this budding rivalry continue to develop in Korakuen Hall?

3rd Match: CHAOS (YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto & Kazuchika Okada) vs BULLET CLUB (Yujiro Takahashi, Dick Togo & EVIL)

The third part in a CHAOS vs BULLET CLUB trios trilogy sees Kazuchika Okada continue to gear up for his proposed, but unconfirmed, singles bout with EVIL as he teams with Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI. After Dick Togo tasted first a GTR at the hands of Goto Sunday, and then submitted to a Money Clip last night, it hasn’t been a great start to the New Beginning for BULLET CLUB. Will Okada be able to state a clear case for New Japan Cup 2020 revenge tonight in Korakuen?

2nd Match: Suzuki-Gun (DOUKI, El Desperado, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Minoru Suzuki) vs BULLET CLUB (Jado, Gedo, Dick Togo & EVIL)

Suzuki-Gun and BULLET CLUB continue their wild eight man warfare on Tuesday night. Sunday’s tour opener saw El Phantasmo level DOUKI with a superkick amid protestations of a loaded boot on the Suzuki-Gun side, but there was some measure of revenge the next night as El Desperado forced a verbal submission over Gedo with Numero Dos. Just 96 hours before major tag team matches top and tail our Ota card, with the World Class Tag Team facing DOUKI and Suzuki, and the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships at stake in the main event, what will happen next here tonight?

1st Match: Yota Tsuji & Satoshi Kojima vs UNITED EMPIRE (Great-O-Khan & Will Ospreay)

Young Lion and veteran Tsuji and Kojima once again unite to take on Ospreay and O-Khan in our opener. The last two nights have seen the United Empire on top, with Eliminators from O-Khan wiping out Uemura last night, and Tsuji at the tour open on Sunday. Can the combination of youth and experience make a mark on Ospreay and O-Khan before Hiroyoshi Tenzan’s return Saturday?
