Road to the New Beginning night 10 preview

More elimination main event action in Korakuen

Tuesday February 2 sees the middle night of a Korakuen Hall triple header, with an intense card headlined by more chaotic elimination tag team action.

Main event- Elimination tag team match: CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano, Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) vs BULLET CLUB (EVIL, Jay White, Yujiro Takahashi, Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa)

After five members of BULLET CLUB faced Suzuki-Gun on Monday night, another club crew of five take on CHAOS on Tuesday.

All eyes tonight are on the new addition of Jay Whited, in for the initially scheduled Dick Togo. After Tomohiro Ishii struck Yujiro Takahashi with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster to claim victory in their six man tag team matchup last night, White hit the ring to leave Ishii laying with the Bladerunner. Three weeks after claiming he’d lost the motivation to continue competing, that motivation certainly appears to have been found, and to be called Tomohiro Ishii.

Meanwhile, Kazuchika Okada continues his vendetta with EVIL, and will not rest until he is finally granted the singles encounter he’s been appealing for close to a month at this point. Teaming with the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Champions and the current KOPW 2021 holder, Okada has made an effective squad, but the BULLET CLUB side should not be discounted. Certainly EVIL along with IWGP Tag Team Champions the Guerrillas of Destiny is an effective trio in its own right, but with a power vacuum in place in BULLET CLUB at the present time, and after tensions during World Tag League, one has to wonder how G.o.D will co-exist with the King of Darkness and partners Togo and Yujiro.

3rd Match: Kota Ibushi, Tomoaki Honma, Master Wato & SHO vs Los Ingobernables De Japon (SANADA, Tetsuya Naito, Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI)

The third match of the evening sees Hiroshima opponents collide in a big eight man tag team matchup. Only three more bouts separate the pairings of Master Wato and BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi and SHO, and SANADA and Kota Ibushi from their dates with destiny on February 10 & 11. Monday in Korakuen, it was Hiromu sending the loudest message, with a Time Bomb 2 delivered to Wato, all for SHO to see. Meanwhile Tetsuya Naito has stated loud and clear on several nights through the tour that he is not Tomoaki Honma’s destiny at all. Could Kokeshi change El Ingobernable’s mind tonight?

2nd Match: Ryusuke Taguchi & Yuya Uemura vs BULLET CLUB (Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo)

The second match of the evening sees new IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo in straight two on two action for the first time of their second reign, as they face Ryusuke Taguchi and Yuya Uemura. Taguchi started the year challenging for the tag gold with Master Wato, but Team One or Eight fell short. Now with Uemura, could this combination of youth and experience surprise the champions? Or will somebody be catching the strongest boot in the game?

1st Match: Gabriel Kidd vs Yota Tsuji

Singles record: 8-5-1 Tsuji

After spending the early part of this tour away from one another, Gabriel Kidd and Yota Tsuji wrestle their second singles match in two days. Kidd might have come into the week with hopes of drawing level with Tsuji, but a spear and Boston Crab instead moved the future heavyweight contender further ahead of his British competition. Will tonight be a repeat of Monday’s result, or will lessons learned in defeat turn to a victory Tuesday?
