Still Jay’s era in Korakuen Hall

Jay White center of attention in Korakuen main event

After his shocking return to the ring to lay out Tomohiro Ishii on Monday February 1, the next night in Korakuen saw Jay White have his first match in close to a month as he joined BULLET CLUB for elimination tag team action against CHAOS.

Ishii would try and get the drop on BULLET CLUB by charging at Jay White before the official introductions, before a reluctant tag to Hirooki Goto meant the match proper started with the Fierce Warrior and Tanga Loa. The confident Loa, backed up with BULLET CLUB reinforcements Dick Togo, Jado, Gedo at ringside, and Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo on the Japanese and English announce tables, nonetheless fell to a Goto tackle, and had yujiro Takahashi suplexed atop him. Unspoken brotherly connections though saw G.o.D take over on Goto, and as CHAOS tried to redress the balance, Jay White took the chance to choke Ishii out with a camera cable on the floor.

When Goto was finally able to find space, it was to tag Kazuchika Okada, who charged at EVIL with explosive pace before getting a two count off a DDT. EVIL’s signature use of the referee to kick at Okada’s inner thigh though led to a suplex to the Rainmaker as BULLET CLUB cleared the CHAOS apron; a thunderous lariat to Okada and EVIL sent the Rainmaker over the top, but Okada hung on, before a low bridge sent EVIL out.

When the King of Darkness tried to get retribution from the floor with a chair, Okada responded with a dive to the floor, sacrificing his place in the match. Okada attempted to Tombstone EVIL on the floor, and though the rest of the BULLET CLUB put a stop to the move, it seemed as if this ongoing feud between the two had gained another dimension of hate and danger.

Toru Yano and Yujiro Takahashi were legal as the match settled to four on four, exposed corners and every dirty trick available leading to a Fisherman’s suplex to Yano for two. When Yujiro charged at Yano, he was low bridged and kicked low to be eliminated, but again the advantage for CHAOS only lasted a matter of seconds as Jay White eliminated the professional polymath.

Down to three on three, Jay White and G.o.D isolated YOSHI-HASHI in the BULLET CLUB corner and set to work. With the BULLET CLUB seconds helping to pile on the pressure, an angered Ishii at ringside tried to break things up, to no avail. A Bunker Buster finally brought Ishii in legally though, and some vicious shots to Jay White from the Stone Pitbull were the result. Tossing White around ringside, the furious cement canine charged at the Switchblade but left himself open to a DDT and Bladebuster; White sent Ishii to the apron, and though Goto prevented his elimination at first, a Gedo low blow ended Ishii’s night.

Fighting with a two vs three disadvantage, Goto tried to hit fast against White, who again put his man on the apron on the wrong side of the ring. This time, it was Jado and a kendo stick that sent him out, leaving YOSHI-HASHI alone against the Switchblade and G.o.D. Firing up, the Headhunter took down all three of his opponents, but a Gunstun instantly laid him out. Jay White picked YOSHI-HASHI up from a cover to deal more humiliation to YOSHI-HASHI; a Tanga Loa Apes**t and again White picked his opponent up at ‘two’.

G.o.D struck a now unconscious YOSHI-HASHI with Magic Killer, prompting Goto to throw in the towel; Ishii was held down and forced to watch White hit Bladerunner to YOSHI-HASHI, before a sleeper suplex laid out Ishii to boot. Post match, White hit Ishii with a Bladerunner, and stating that he represented the ‘real BULLET CLUB’, he challenged Ishii, Goto and YOSHI-HASHI for the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championships.
