CHAOS have Korakuen edge as SHO brings the voltage

SHO submits Dick Togo in snap Korakuen main

After Tetsuya Naito’s sudden absence from action in Korakuen hall due to a knee injury was announced, what had been scheduled as a semi-main tag battle with Kazuchika Okada & SHO facing EVIL and Dick Togo became the night’s headline bout.

The match started with SHO and Dick Togo center ring; one of junior heavyweight wrestling’s great veterans of the last thirty years against one of the junior heavyweight division’s hottest stars of today. SHO had a clear edge in working over Togo’s shoulder early, but EVIL would quicly intervene, and take the match to the BULLET CLUB wheelhouse outside on the floor.

With an exposed turnbuckle providing assistance, BULLET CLUB took firm control of SHO and kept him in the wrong corner. Sentons from Togo and EVIL had SHO in trouble as he continued to try and battle from underneath, until he was finally able to widen his base on an EVIL suplex and land a huge one of his own.

The move brought Okada in, who landed an stunning big boot to EVIL and a high angled flapjack. Togo attempted to break up a pin and got short shrift; EVIL took advantage of the distraction though, and although Okada was able to send the King of Darkness into the exposed corner, a trip from Togo on the floor gave momentum back to BULLET CLUB.

Okada fought his way back in with a neckbreaker to Togo, bringing SHO inside to tee off on the veteran. Stiff kicks brought a two count for the CHAOS member, and when EVIL tried to break up a double wrist lock, Okada prevented the interference. A backcracker and spear followed, and SHO saw EVIL coming as he closed in on victory, directing him into an Okada Tombstone. A cross armbreaker later and CHAOS had secured a satisfying victory.

As Kazuchika Okada stared down EVIL on his exit, SHO promised that CHAOS will bring the voltage at Castle Attack next weekend. The road to Castle Attack continues in Iwate Friday.
