Watch Road to Sakura Genesis LIVE on NJPW World!

Perhaps the most anticipated part of the evening’s proceedings will take place before the first match is wrestled on the night. The IWGP World Heavyweight Championship will be revealed in a special ceremony before the action starts Tuesday night. Just what will the future of top flight competition in New Japan Pro-Wrestling look like? Find out live on NJPW world!

Main event: Kota Ibushi, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs United Empire (Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan)

The main event of the evening will see United Empire lock horns with Kota Ibushi, Satoshi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan. With just five days separating Ospreay and Ibushi from their IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match, Tuesday night will finally give both men and the fans the opportunity to see the prize they are fighting for. Being the title’s first official holder could give Ibushi the mental edge Sunday, but with it a great deal of responsibility for a decision met with more than its fair share of controversy.

In the opposite corner, United Empire will be looking to keep their undefeated record as a trio, appearing together for the last time on NJPW World before their numbers increase this Sunday. Will this be another show of force for NJPW’s newest faction, or will Ibushi and TenCozy be able to strike back against the empire?

4th Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Yuji Nagata & Tomoaki Honma vs BULLET CLUB (Jay White, Jado & Gedo)

After last night’s six man action Hiroshi Tanahashi now recruits Yuji Nagata and Tomoaki Honma to take on the BULLET CLUB forces of Jay White and the World Class Tag team tonight. White continues to campaign for an opportunity at Tanahashi’s NEVER Openweight Championship, and sent a message of superiority when pinning Tanahashi’s partner Satoshi Kojima Monday. what statement will BULLET CLUB attempt to make tonight?

3rd Match: CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano, Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI) vs BULLET CLUB (EVIL, KENTA, Bad Luck Fale, Yujiro Takahashi & Taiji Ishimori)

Another hectic ten man clash between CHAOS and BULLET CLUB in the third match of the evening. The CHAOS side has a lot of targets on their backs, with the next in line for Toru Yano’s KOPW 2021 trophy yet to reveal themselves, and the BULLET CLUB side making moves toward the NEVER 6-Man titles held by YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto and Tomohiro Ishii. Meanwhile, KENTA remains in possession of YOSHI-HASHI’s ceremonial staff. That’s a situation the Headhunter will look to rectify as soon as possible, but one that led to CHAOS’ demise last night, as the staff rang off the heads of the CHAOS members, allowing Taiji Ishimori to score a pinfall on heavyweight Hirooki Goto with Bloody Cross. What steps will CHAOS take to rectify the situation tonight?

2nd Match: SHO, Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi vs Suzuki-Gun (El Desperado, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & DOUKI)

Five days before he and YOH reform to take on El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight tag team Championships, SHO teams with ‘Team One or Eight’ to take on Suzuki-Gun tonight. Last night in Korakuen, Tiger Mask was forced to submit to Desperado’s Numero Dos, but tonight it’s Master Wato taking the veteran’s place. Who gets the upper hand before Sunday’s title matchup?

1st Match: Gabriel Kidd, Yota Tsuji, Yuya Uemura & Tiger Mask vs Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, Shingo Takagi & BUSHI)

After New Japan Cup defeats, LIJ look to continue their route back to the top flight in our opener tonight. Sunday will see the group’s heavyweight members face the United Empire team of Jeff Cobb, Great-O-Khan and a new mystery partner; with that faction looking to make a show of force Sunday, LIJ will want to match or better their efforts.

That was the case Monday, but not entirely smoothly. Yota Tsuji continued to seek his dream singles match with Naito, and showed that in his exchanges, while Gabriel Kidd threw hands with Shingo Takagi and Yuya Uemura nearly caught SANADA out with his own O’Connor Roll. There’s everything for the young stars to fight for tonight as well.
