Fred Rosser survives wildest match in STRONG history 【NJoA】

Fred Rosser victorious in grudge match

Fred Rosser emerged victorious from unquestionably the wildest match in NJPW STRONG history this week, the first no disqualification match in Friday night history seeing action all over, and outside the building.

Rosser got the jump on Hikuleo, a fast entrance and a diving Lariat taking down his opponent at the bell. BULLET CLUB’s Young Gun caught Rosser on the run however, and used his strength to deliver a snap powerslam. It was one of the rare wrestling moves of the match, and as a brawl continued, Hikuleo again used his incredible power to elevate Rosser out over the top rope and to the floor.

There, Rosser barely avoided a chair swung directly at his head, and as the two fought around ringside, Hikuleo dug out a table from under the ring, only to be stopped by a box desperately flung by Rosser. The Suntan Superman escaped a Hikuleo chokeslam on the floor and fought to the backstage area, and then outside the building altogether.

Rosser and Hikuleo brawled into the ring truck, Rosser attempting to end the match with a closed shutter across the head of Hikuleo; when the Young Gun countered and attempted the move himself, Rosser just barely escaped disaster, instead diving out of the truck onto his opponent.

As both finally came back to the ringside area, Hikuleo wanted a Tongan Driver through the ringside table, only to be stopped by Rosser, who used a bulldog to send himself and his opponent crashing into the furniture. With the two hands of hair that started their brutal feud, Rosser hauled Hikuleo into the ring, where a Gutcheck and a Basement Dropkick ended the war.

Also this week on STRONG, Brody King and Karl Fredericks delivered a violent statement to Team Filthy’s Danny Limelight and JR Kratos, Fredericks delivering an emphatic MD to Limelight to secure victory.

Plus, Bateman delivered This Is A Kill to Alex Coughlin to pick up a win in the night’s opener; in the midst of a competitive STRONG field, a much needed win for Bateman should set the deranged vaudevillian up for future big match opportunities.
