Satoshi Kojima STRONG arms Team Filthy en route to Fredericks win 【NJoA】

Kojima and Karl Fredericks victorious in main event

Satoshi Kojima shot to success in his first match on NJPW STRONG this week, as he and Karl Fredericks picked up the W against Team Filthy’s JR Kratos and Danny Limelight.

Kratos started off the match with Kojima, but showed no respect to the legend, nor had any intention to back down in the face of hard tackles. When Fredericks tagged in, the Alpha Wolf would try to accelerate and outquick Kratos, but Kratos’ own speed saw Fredericks’ cross body attempt come up a long way short, and the advantage went to Tem Filthy.

Kratos and Limelight worked over Fredericks until a suplex brought Kojima inside; the debutant unloaded machine gun chops and the famous Bakayaro Elbow on Kratos for two, but the Most feared found a response with a hard powerslam and then a big time delayed vertical suplex.

As momentum built, Kratos tried to finish Kojima with his own iconic lariat, but would eat a Koji Cutter instead, before Limelight was lariated almost out of his boots. Fredericks followed up with a snap spinebuster, and though the MD was denied, a half Boston Crab resulted in a convincing submission victory.

Kratos and Kojima weren’t done after the match however and had to be pulled apart by all hands available- this is certainly a feud to keep eyes on.

Also 0n NJPW STRONG, Barrett Brown picked up a controversial victory over former partner Adrian Quest. Brown seemed to have gotten a new mentor in the form of Bateman for this match, but still found himself under the gun in the face of smooth offense from Quest. Just as Young Fuego went for the kill however, Bateman would hop on the apron, creating enough of a distraction for a Brown roll-up.

The night would kick off with TJP defeating Kevin Knight. Knight would show his progression and athleticism against the veteran Fil-Am Flash, but the Cobra Twist was too much and TJP racked up a submission victory.
