WRESTLER COMMENT
Nagata:
‘First of all, I just finished my last G1 match. Thank you all so much. I said that I'd dominate in my last G1, but in practice it was a different story. Everybody was so tough. All in all, I went 1-8. My worst record in the G1- not a cool way to go out. But that's the truth I have to live with. My time in the G1 is over, but Yuji Nagata’s time isn't over. I have to take all this disappointment and turn it into positive energy. True strength is in getting beaten down and still popping up. Right now is where the true worth of 25 years in this business comes to light.’
-- There was such a huge response for you tonight. It seemed like everyone was chanting your name to tell you you still have so much more to offer.
Nagata:
‘Seeing all those signs made me so happy. Just to have so much warmth from them, I have to say that entrance made me quite emotional. But don't worry, I'll keep fighting. I went one and eight.i have to take that. Everyone came at me and beat me, and I have to take that and be grateful. But I will get my payback. I will get my revenge on the current generation, and on New Japan as a whole. That's what will drive me. Thank you.’
