BIOGRAPHY

A veteran of the US scene, Eddie Kingston has always had a deep respect for the old school Japanese wrestling mentality, something that shines through in every one of his hard hitting matches. In 2021, Kingston would earn his way to AEW, and his close bonds with Jon Moxley ensured that he would be dragged into a war between Mox and Suzuki-Gun. That led to a Philadelphia Streetfight in his NJPW STRONG debut, before continuing his wars in the cerulean blue in the States into 2022.

One of those wars involved Switchblade Jay White. After Kingston missed a scheduled encounter with White due to COVID, White claimed that the ‘cowardly’ Kingston was ducking him. After back and forth provocation, and a tag encounter at Rumble on 44th Street, the two finally battled one on one at Battle in the Valley at February 18 2023; a match that saw Eddie expel White from NJPW competition. Months later, Kingston would be entered into the G1 Climax for the first time, and before he started his campaign, lived a long held dream when he won the STRONG Openweight Championship from KENTA in Korakuen Hall.
