In June 2020, Uemura entered the New Japan Cup for the first time, and entered Best of the Super Jr. 27 as a last minute substitute for the injured Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Heading on excursion in 2021, Uemura joined the LA Dojo that summer, and made his mark on STRONG, teaming with Christopher Daniels to upset TMDK en route to the finals of the STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship tournament.
