Joining the NJPW STRONG roster in 2021 with West Coast Wrecking Crew partner Royce Isaacs, the duo reached the semifinals of the summer’s Tag team Turbulence tournament. In doing so, they caught the attention of Team Filthy. After a hard fought battle against JR Kratos and Danny Limelight on STRONG, they were handpicked by Tom Lawlor to join the group. Nelson and Isaacs became a cornerstone of the tag team scene for NJPW STRONG, but couldn’t capture the STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships on their inception, instead being driven to take them away from second champions Motor City Machineguns at Battle in the Valley February 18 2023.
