BULLET CLUB’s IMPACTful Win, IMPACTful Brawl 【NJoA】

BULLET CLUB, VBD, Good Brothers in pitched battle to close IMPACT

The main event of IMPACT Wrestling on February 3 saw BULLET CLUB’s Chris Bey, Jay White, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa face Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, Mike Bailey and Jake Something.

One week removed from receiving a sleeper suplex from the Switchblade, Speedball Mike Bailey wanted to start with Jay White, but it would be Chris Bey that actually got the action going, Speedball getting a fast takedown and armdrag before being poked in the eyes and isolated in the wrong corner. Now the first Grand Slam Champion was happy to be involved, suplexing bailey and holding him in place for G.o.D giros and an elbow from Bey.

A short dropkick from Bailey and a tag was made to Something, who was frustrated at Fulton quickly tagging himself in, disparate elements and a lack of communication quickly carrying a steep BULLET CLUB price. Still, Fulton’s power came through, and he would catch a dive from Bey to drop the Finesser on the apron. A huge high cross for the big man, who tagged effectively with regular partner Austin while the frustrated Something and Bailey waited to get involved.

When Bey avoided contact on a Fulton shoulder charge, and connected with a spin kick to Austin, he would have the space to bring White inside. With Bailey finally from the opposite corner, Speedball brought quick kicks to the Switchblade after escaping the sleeper suplex. White responded with a massive uranage, but a Bailey midkick would give a clear path to Speedball’s corner.

Bailey wanted to tag in Something, but Austin forcibly tagged himself in instead. Tama Tonga would fire in offense as he took advantage of miscommunication from his opponents, and though Fulton would be in to save his partner, he would experience a G.o.D falvoured Magic Killer for his troubles. A Tongan Twist followed for Bailey, leaving the path clear for Bey to splash Austin, but the Ultimate Finesser would only find Ace’s knees.

The staggered Austin still stubbornly refused to tag in Something, eventually having no choice as the big man chopped his way into the match. The explosive Something would spike Bey with a pop up powerbomb, and took down the other members of BULLET CLUB, but White would prevent Something from hitting his finish on Bey. After making the save, the Switchblade would land a sleeper suplex, and then held the heavyweight center ring for the Art of the Finesse to grant a BULLET CLUB win.

A Too Sweet celebration was short lived though, as Violent By Design and the Good Brothers hit the ring. IMPACT Wrestling would go off the air as a wild brawl broke out and more conflict seems certain to break out between the teams in weeks to come.
