Romero and Gresham highlights IMPACT

IMPACT saw great technical action this Thursday on AXS, as Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham battled Rocky Romero. 

Gresham started the bout with trademark grappling, but Romero quickly got the break with a dropkick; Gresham would return the favour though, landing a pair of boots of his own after some crisp lucha influenced take downs. 

Gresham would frustrate Rocky, keeping him in place with a long hammerlock, but Mr. Azucar was able to slam himself out of it. Withstanding the ROH Champion’s chops, Romero would land a streak of Forever Clotheslines before a rewind kick saw Gresham dropped to the floor where the Mega Coach landed a tijeras from the ring steps. 

Sliced Rocky followed for two back inside, but Gresham would fire back with a quebrada and then a stomp right to the arm he’d been working over throughout. A tope suicida followed, before Gresham used an intricate cradle to pin Romero. 

Rocky teams with Wheeler Yuta to face the LA Dojo duo of Kevin Knight and the DKC in a special dark match before Windy City Riot gets started April 16.
