Capital Collision in Washington DC on May 14 was highlighted by a hotly anticipated match between Tomohiro Ishii and AEW’s Eddie Kingston. This first-time single bout started off with Ishii and Kingston not holding back by getting in each other’s faces, exchanging a slew of chops, shoulder blocks to set the tone for the match. Kingston delivered strong control on the onset of the match in order to block and control Ishii’s every move.

When Kingston maintained control and offensive positions he slowed down the pace and held a bow-and-arrow lock to his surprise Ishii reversed. The chops continued between them with intensity, speed and brutal contact. Kingston delivered an offense against Ishii by grabbing his face and slapping him, creating an intense reaction between them both – this is where the vicious slapping exchange began.  The stinging blows continued until Ishii dropped Kingston with a backdrop driver.

Kingston continued to push for domination over Ishii and the pressure was on! The two had dueling fan chants of support for the two competitors. Kingston and Ishii continued extremely brutal moves on each other in the hopes to gain a victory over the other including landing uranages and exchanging those devastating headbutts as they continued to knock each other out in a roller coaster battle in the ring.

Ishii secured the victory as he bashed Kingston with yet another lariat and took him out with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster and celebrated the well-earned victory at Capital Collision.
