Gino Gambino returns to the broadcast team as Toru Yano throws a party

Among the hundreds of international guests at Wrestle Kingdom 17 this week is a tour package group experiencing the trip of a lifetime. The group gets to sample Wrestle Kingdom 17 and New Year dash, as well as the NJPW-ism exhibit this week, and the day before Wrestle Kingdom, a special fan lunch took place in Toru Yano’s famed Ebrietas bar restaurant. 

Rocky Romero, Kevin Kelly and Chris Charlton hosted the event, telling stories of their experiences in the wrestling business and what everybody was excited to see in the Tokyo Dome. 

The biggest surprise reveal on the day was the return of Gino Gambino to the English speaking announce team, everyone’s favourite quasi BULLET CLUB member receiving a rousing reception as he gets set to join the crew on NJPW World January 4. 

The session ended with authentic chanko NJPW Dojo style, Toru Yano himself whipping up a batch of the famed high protein stew for all in attendance. A fantastic fan experience is sure to be repeated somewhere down the line- stay tuned for more information!
