Lio Rush delivers video challenge in Osaka
Lio Rush has thrown his jay into the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship ring, issuing a video challenge to Hiromu Takahashi at New Beginning in Osaka.
Moments after Hiromu and Los Ingobernables De Japon were victorious in eight man tag action at the start of the evening in EDION Arena, the video played to the live audience. In it, Rush said that he had been waiting to face Hiromu for a long time, and that he would ‘do what my partner YOH could not’, by taking the gold from the Time Bomb’s waist.
In response, Hiromu also said that he had long awaited a title bout with Rush, and granted the Bad Child’s request. Yet suspicious of a video message out of the blue, the panicked champion wanted to know if Rush was in the building and planning an ambush, leading to a frenzied search backstage to no avail.
