Kingston racks up another defence- will be met by Kojima in Dallas
The STRONG Openweight Championship was on the line in Las Vegas at Fighting Spirit Unleashed, Eddie Kingston defending against HENARE in Sam’s Town Live.
After an early feeling out process, heavyweight strikes cam early, HENARE’s boots driving Kingston to the floor. The challenger maintained his advantage outside, as Kingston laboured under the Face of Fury’s power advantage; after a series of kicks from the Maori Warrior however, Eddie fired up and landed Kobashi chops and an exploder out of the corner.
The challenger had a clear advantage over the champion, using Ultima to drive Kingston down with a Full Nelson slam and following with a Rampage tackle. Each time though Kingston would kick out, and summoned up an Uraken, but collapsing on HENARE, Kingston only got two on his challenger. Now, finally Eddie began to go blow for blow with HENARE, hitting a half Nelson suplex and two more backfists, getting three and another successful defence of the STRONG gold.
Kingston will next face Satoshi Kojima for the gold November 10 at Lonestar Shootout.
