Lion’s Den sees a showcase for New Zealand Dojo

November 11 saw NJPW TAMASHII stage their third Lion’s Den showcase for the upcoming wrestlers from the New Zealand Dojo. As students flock to NJPW’s Dojos and Academies in Jpaan, the US and in New Zealand, Lion’s Den allowed members and alumni to show their potential.

The ever popular Richard Mulu would be victorious in the main event, pinning the physically imposing Malcolm Evans with a running powerslam.

Tag action would see TJ Illes and Trent Hooper picking up a win over Will Driscoll and Cian Devin as Illes reversed Devin’s submission attempt into a small package in a grueling 15 minute bout.

TAMASHII regular Nikolai Anton Bell picked up a neckbreaker win over Branden Richter.

Working his way up in the TAMASHII ranks, Johnny Gardner submitted Blazs Horvath.

The event also saw a Young Lion showcase with short matches between eight of NZ’s upcoming prospects. Daniel Kallmeier, Cameron Driscoll, and the Koslowski brothers Tim and Robin were all victorious.
