V1 for the Hontai side sees H.O.T beaten back
The NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Championships were on the line April 23 in Korakuen Hall as the freshly crowned Hiroshi Tanahashi, Toru Yano and Boltin Oleg defended against HOUSE OF TORTURE’s EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi and Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
H.O.T jumped Boltin early, but to little avail as the big man easily out powered his foes and brought in Tanahashi. Yano tried to continue the momentum for his team as well, but was sent into an exposed buckle, and laboured in the challengers’ corner until a much needed tug of Kanemaru’s hair brought Boltin back in.
Boltin easily powered through the challengers until the numbers game caught up and Dick Togo landed a pipe cut chop from the top rope. As the match broke down though, a double suplex from Boltin saw Tanahashi back inside, and low blows all around eventually left Boltin standing and Yujiro in trouble. A Kamikaze from Boltin and the High Fly Flow from Tanahashi sealed the deal for a successful defence.
