This week’s exciting episode of NJPW on AXS TV is headlined by then IWGP Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito defending against former champion “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada in the main event at Dominion 2016 in Osaka-jo Hall. This is a rematch from April 2016’s Invasion Attack when Naito defeated Okada in stunning fashion.
Naito comes in as the champion and the much heralded leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon (L.I.J). He marches to the beat of his own drum and does as he please. He has been called, rude, disrespectful and arrogant and does not lack confidence.
Okada will challenge for a championship he has won 3 times previously. He is seen as the present and future of professional wrestling.
Naito won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from Okada with the help of L.I.J. at Invasion Attack. Can Okada overcome those odds and win his 4th championship?
