Kizuna Road night 6 results and report

Night six of the Kizuna Road tour took place from the city memorial gymnasium in Fukushima.

Match 7: CHAOS (Toru Yano, Tomohiro Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI & Kazuchika Okada) defeated Suzuki-Gun (DOUKI, Lance Archer, Zack Sabre Junior & Minoru Suzuki) when Ishii pinned DOUKI.

CHAOS continued to look strong in the tour, despite Suzuki’s continued rage at Okada and everyone else for his exclusion from the G1 lineup. ZSJ meanwhile, days before putting his own G1 spot on the line with YOSHI-HASHI, went head to head with his British Heavyweight title challenger, as all eight had a physical battle indeed. Ishii and DOUKI ended the match in ring, with DOUKI falling victim to a brainbuster from Ishii.

Match 6: SHO, YOH, Ryusuke Taguchi, Toa Henare & Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated BULLET CLUB (Gedo, Taiji Ishimori, El Phantasmo, Chase Owens & Jay White) when Taguchi submitted Gedo.

Taguchi continued to be a thorn in the side of BULLET CLUB and ELP in particular. just after retaining the NEVER Openweight 6-Man tag titles against ELP’s team in Korakuen, Taguchi submitted Gedo with an ankle lock that had a clear message for Phantasmo conveyed along with it. Taguchi was in high spirits ahead of his RevPro British Cruiserweight Championship match Tuesday in Sendai.

Match 5: Los Ingobernables De Japon (SANADA & Tetsuya Naito) defeated Shota Umino & Kota Ibushi when SANADA submitted Umino.

In a high position on the card, Umino was buouyed by the prospect of fighting and teaming with current and former IWGP Intercontinental Champions, but ultimately fell to the well oiled machine of SANADA and Naito. The LIJ duo worked well, with knowledge that being in different blocks means intra faction tension doesn’t have to factor into the SANADA and Naito relationship at least until the final. Umino would counter a Skull End attempt into a dangerously close La Magistral two count, but SANADA locked the hold on fully moments later for the win.

Match 4: Los Ingobernables De Japon (EVIL, BUSHI & Shingo Takagi) defeated Jyushin Thunder Liger, Tomoaki Honma & Togui Makabe when EVIL pinned Honma.

EVIL maintained his chilliness of late to the other members of LIJ, as he focuses on the forthcoming G1 Climax. In ring though, he was as effective as ever, and drilled Honma with EVIL to win the match for his team.

Match 3: BULLET CLUB (Yujiro Takahashi, Tanga Loa & Tama Tonga) defeated Mikey Nicholls, Jucie Robinson & Ren Narita when Takahashi pinned Narita.

Narita continued a hot and aggressive streak in ring, but was unable to get the win in the end, as he fell victim to Takahashi’s Pimp Juice. Guerrillas of Destruction got a win to hold in the faces of Nicholls and Robinson, who they’ve been trading victories with all tour.

Match 2: Suzuki Gun (Taichi & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) defeated Yuya Uemura & Tiger Mask when Kanemaru submitted Uemura.

As may be expected, the Suzuki Gun antagonists, and Kanemaru in particular, targeted Tiger Mask’s hood. The veteran masked man unleashed some powerful strikes on Kanemaru and Taichi, but when Uemura was alone in the ring with the accomplished Kanemaru, the result was a Boston Crab submission.

Match 1: Satoshi Kojima & Hiroshi Tenzan defeated Yota Tsuji & Yuya Uemura when Kojima pinned Tsuji.

Tsuji was the sole Young Lion kohai in a match full of veterans. Yuji Nagata encouraged Tsuji to bring the fight, especially to Kojima, but his efforts made little difference in the face of Kojima and Tenzan’s experience as a team, the match ending with a lariat to Tsuji.
