Following his cervical spine injury on March 3rd in Okinawa, Tomoaki Honma was transferred to a medical facility in Osaka on March 21.
After further consultations by specialists, surgery was recommended due to the pace of his recovery.
On March 27 Honma successfully underwent surgery and has now begun physical therapy.
