FinJuice victorious in rematch with Gallows & Anderson
IMPACT Wrestling’s Rebellion event took place on Sunday April 25, with one of the night’s featured bouts seeing a rematch between David Finlay and Juice Robinson and the Good Brothers of Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows for the IMPACT tag titles.
Anderson started the match with Finlay, and attempted to gain control in a snug lock up, but Finlay would deftly take control of the Machine Gun and bring in Juice for a double team. Quick tags followed as FinJuice isolated Anderson’s arm, and even when Finlay was driven into the corner for a tag to Gallows, the same strategy and effective teamwork paid dividends on the big man, a double chokeslam attempt countered with a stereo facebuster.
Yet a front chancerie from Finlay on Gallows was not enough to control the powerful challenger, who escaped and tagged in Anderson. Baiting the referee, Anderson created an opportunity for Gallows to strike with a pump kick on the floor. Inside, and more super heavyweight kicks found their mark on the side of Finlay’s head as the champion struggled to get out of the challengers’ corner.
A flying European Uppercut did the job for Finlay however, and Juice was ready for a diving tag. Robinson cleared house with a plancha to Gallows and strikes to Anderson before the Cannonball for a near two. Signature double team work would inch the champions closer to victory, but Gallows would break up a Doomsday Device attempt as Finlay took a harrowing fall to the floor.
Anderson capitalized with a neckbreaker on Juice, before combining with Gallows for a double team version. Momentum building, the Good Brothers wanted to finish the job with a Magic Killer, but Finlay was able to intercept Anderson in time while Juice rolled up Gallows to secure the win.
Now with their first defence under the IMPACT tag team belts, FinJuice have every right to feel comfortable and confident. Where will the titles show up next?
