WRESTLER COMMENT

Naito:
‘Nagata wants to go through this G1 creating one last bunch of memories. So to wrestle me, that's one to cherish, right? But honestly, humbly, it's great. Hes 14 years older than me. I don't know if I'll be in the G1 14 years from now, and I'm really not sure I'll be in the same shape as him 14 years from now. So with that said, Nagata really is amazing. But that isn't the kind of tournament the G1 is. I said this before the opener, but I just don't know why Nagata is in this tournament. But since he's here, I hope he enjoys his last summer. I hope he can stay the course. OK, hasta manana, adios!’

Nagata:
‘It was tough for Sendai to see. The old faded soldier. That's what people will say. But it's OK, it's the truth. In that match, I really thought… Naito understood. He knew my mindset. If he hadn't understood me, I think I'd have lost all will tonight. We put everything in, put body and soul on the line, and he beat me. It's because of that I'm able to be here now. I think if we didn't wrestle that way, I wouldn't be here now..’

-- What are you talking about?

Nagata:
‘Think about it. If you really watched, you'd understand.’
