Legend tag to remember the iconic Inoki

Before the first main card match at Wrestle Kingdom 17, a special Antonio Inoki Memorial Match will see Satoshi Kojima, Yuji Nagata and Togi makabe team to face Tiger Mask, Minoru Suzuki and Tatsumi Fujinami. Fujinami was on hand at the special Wrestle Kingdom press conference today to discuss this special bout.

‘It’s been a while, good to see you. As was just announced, I will be a apart of the Tokyo Dome event in the new year on January 4. I’m very grateful to NJPW for reaching out to me. I’m nervous, but it’s a good kind of nervous, and I look forward to it. 

You want to hear more? This is a six man tag, and it’s an Antonio Inoki Memorial bout. You might have noticed when I came in today, but I’m wearing a very special Inoki red tie. This is a memento of sorts; his daughter Hiroko gave these to some people who were important to him to remember the Boss by. So that’s why I’m wearing it today. I actually got a scarf as well! But I thought that wouldn’t go with the look today, so that’s why I’m in the tie. At any rate this match has a special significance to it, and knowing that this is such an important match puts an added bit of pressure and nerves for me, but I’ll be heading to the ring with Inoki in mind, and that’s how I’ll be going about this match.’
